Akshay Kumar And Aishwarya Rai Movie comedy starring Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai will release in theatres on November 5.

Set in the 1970s, the film's plot pivots around time travel. Mala (Aishwarya) and Kishen (Akshay), an aged bickering couple married for 33 years, rediscover their love after they are thrown back in time to the days when they were a young couple.

The duo will be seen in two looks: as contemporary seniors and a young 70s couple, retro styled in bell bottoms, bold colored pants, bright colored print dresses and long dark hair topped, riding a Lambretta scooter to boot.

Some of the best Hollywood makeup artists were hired for Akshay and Aishwarya's makeup.

Aishwarya changes into 125 dresses in the film. Her character loves to shop and dress in the film.

"It's a script requirement. That's how her character is etched out," says director Vipul Shah.

The film includes a disco songs which is a tribute to popular Bollywood screen couples of the 70s like Rajesh Khanna-Mumtaz, Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bhaduri, Dharmendra-Hema Malini, and Rishi Kapoor-Dimple Kapadia.

"It's a very special film for me for many reasons. This is my tribute to the 1970s that was the greatest retro era. I was kicked with the idea because I'm entering the time in cinema where my father-in-law was a superstar," said Akshay.

This is Akshay and Aishwarya's second film together after Khakee, in which they were not romantically paired.

This is Vipul's first film with Aishwarya and fifth with Akshay Kumar (Aankhen, Waqt - Race Against Time, Namastey London and Singh is Kinng).

Action Replay's release clashes with Golmaal 3 starring Ajay Devgan, KAreena Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Arshad Warsi, Tushar Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty and Kunal Khemu.

Earlier, we had seen Akshay Kumar hosting the show with a lot of finesse suiting the 'khiladi' title in all regards. But, it seems that the news of Chopra hosting the new season of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' has not gone down too well with Kumar.

Apparently, Akshay has signed up as the host for the desi version of 'Top Chef', an international show hosted by model Padma Lakshmi, which is currently in its 7th year in overseas.

Akshay is not very happy with Colors and Endemol but is not exactly planning to hold a grudge. He believes in healthy competition and likes it that way. Going by the reports, Akki has asked Star Plus to put his show in the same time slot as Priyanka's show.


Akki has decided that when he sits with the channel personnel, he would ask them to put his show in the same time slot as 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' and will also ask the channel to air his show somewhere between August to September, which is the same time as the Priyanka's show goes on air.

But it just seems that Kumar's plan might go in vain, as Priyanka's show is going off schedule due to the unavailability of required cricketers and might not go on air as per the schedule.

Going by the channel's requirements, they want to put 'Top Chef' in the weekend slot making it stronger due to Kumar's presence. The final verdict on this is yet to be out but one thing we must say…Akki sure knows how to compete

One of the leading men in Bollywood, Akshay Kumar is planning to make a cross-cultural film on Canada with their favorite sport ice hockey, as the main theme of the movie. He decided this when he ran for the Winter Olympic Torch Relay in minus eight degrees.

Akshay says,”I love hockey, and am in the processing making this film. I will start work on it next year.” Ice hockey is a very famous game in Canada and he wants to show that how this game has closed all the cultural gaps between people. He is also keen on making a Punjabi movie. He says, “I am a Punjabi and I love the language. I have just done a small role in a Punjabi film, and I won’t rule out any film in the future.”

This bollwood star also has a house in Canada with a permanent residence status, said “Canada is like a second home to me. I love Canada. Though the weather here is cold, people are very warm.” Akshay’s connection with Canada is very old. He came to Canada in 1995 and since then he is in Love with Canada.

He says, “seven-eight of my films have been shot in Toronto and Vancouver, and six of them have done very well. So I have special connections with this country.” He also mentioned that the people in Canada were very helpful, when he got his father there for medical treatment there.

Akshay thanks everyone in Canada for inviting him and giving him the privilege for carrying the Olympic Torch. He says, “It is a dream come true. I am honored and privileged to have been selected as an official torchbearer for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic torch relay. I would like to thank Canadians for this honor and recognition.”

Deepika Padukone’s picture looks like she is not wearing anything, since all the body parts you see are bare. Dabboo Ratnani says, “I wanted to make her look sensual, but aesthetic. Last year, I shot her in a sari, so this is in total contrast. She strikes a thinking, dreamy pose, and I have used lighting to match her mood. Normally Bollywood is associated with bright colors. Black and white images are of the bygone eras but I opted for a stark B&W mood in the snapshots is dark but the styling modem.”

Every year, Dabboo starts his preparations in October. Although, he has many interactions with the celebrities for their shots for magazines, movies and portfolios, every year all of them take time out for the calendar. Sometime ago even Farah Khan was planning to cast Sonam in Tees Maar Khan instead of Katrina.
