The former Spice Girl, 37, spent an hour visiting the local vicar at St-John-at-Hampshire yesterday, raising speculation she will tie the knot with Henry Beckwith, 30.

After the church, Halliwell was escorted by Kenny Goss, George Michael's long-term partner, to a celebrity tailors and a nearby outfitters.

As they made their way around the shops, an onlooker asked 'who should we be congratulating on the wedding?' and Goss pointed at the singer, The Sun reported, before correcting himself 'Er, I mean both of us.'

The two shops the pair visited by limo were Thom Sweeney in Mayfair and neary Abuin & Wills.

An onlooker said: 'Geri and Kenny seemed to be spending the day making wedding arrangements.

'They were in the church ages before looking at formal dress at the tailors.

'Geri was giggling and seemed really excited. She wouldn't say what they were doing, but Kenny let the cat out of the bag.

Halliwell and Beckwith have been dating since last April. He is the son of Sir John, a property developer, and sister to the former wild-child socialite Tamara, who is now a happily married mother of two.

Before then she was engaged to yacht tycoon Fabrizio Politi and dated both Chris Evans and Robbie Williams.

'I don't have a strict diet anymore. I eat cake, crisps, sugar-free chocolate and chips if I want to. I can't be bothered to follow a gruelling food plan. I'm a petite person and if I eat relatively healthily I'll stay that way.

'It's simple really. When I feel under pressure, I do eat cake but I don't punish myself for that like I used to. I just eat more healthily the next day.'
