Lily Allen enjoys aboard a luxury yacht

It's a hard life but somebody's got to live it.

And singer Lily Allen, 24, is certainly living the dream as she enjoyed some downtime in between appearances at Australia's Big Day Out festival - better known by the artists as 'The Big Day Off' due to the time off between shows.

Stripped down to a blue bikini with a white trim, the singer enjoyed a day on board a yacht with friends including Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.

Feeling hot: Lily soaked up the 31C heat in between performances at Australia's Big Day Out festival where she is performing alongside Dizzee Rascal

Lily, 24, was seen soaking up the sun in 31C heat after singing at the music festival in Sydney.

On Sunday she performed alongside Dizzee Rascal at the festival who almost came a cropper after one over-appreciative member of the public threw a deodorant stick at him.

The singer last toured with the festival three years ago, causing quite a stir with her alcohol-fuelled behaviour.

But now she's past the wildchild phase and is enjoying a more relaxed time with friends with her fellow artists, Dizzee, Muse and Kasabian.

She told Australia's news.com: 'It's funny, actually, because I feel I am a completely different person to who I was when they all first met me.

'Then, the Big Day Out was one of the first festivals I'd done. I was so over-excited and boisterous and drunk and showing off. I didn't really know what the hell was going on.

It's a hard life: Lily cruised around Sydney Harbor aboard the luxury boat

And Kasabian were quite fresh at the time too so we were the terrible kids running around making mischief. I'm a little more grown-up.'

And she seemed to be backtracking on her public statement to quit music.

Lily said: 'Anyone who has to go to work every day gets quite sick of it, don't they? It's a job and probably what's happened, because I started so young, I was working with people who knew I was naive and worked me very hard.

Me saying I am quitting music to me is about taking control of my life, having some time to do other things. It's my decision whether I want to do another album. I haven't been offered any money to do one.'

At the Brisbane show she told the crowd: 'I want to have a baby.'

The singer Lily recently bought a five-bedroom house in the Cotswolds, and is said to be planning to start a family with boyfriend Sam Cooper.

Lily Allen leans back Kiss new boyfriend for a passionate clinch

Lily Allen and her down-to-earth boyfriend looked head-over-heels for each other last night as they kissed passionately in public.

The singer and builder boyfriend Sam Cooper locked lips at a London party and cuddled up together a balcony, seemingly oblivious to all around them.

The 24-year-old had taken her new man to the Diesel: U Music World Tour Party held at P3 in the University of Westminster.

Watching The Big Pink playing, she lent back to throw herself into a kiss with Sam, and danced around as she listened to the music. But she was never far from his side.

Dressed in a black tunic dress and carrying one of her beloved Chanel quilted handbags, Lily also stopped in at Home House for a party with Kate Moss, Sadie Frost and celebrity hairdresser James Brown.

Lily Allen debuted her boyfriend on the red carpet at the GQ Awards last month, but the pair have been spotted hand-in-hand over the summer months.

And The Fear singer has even stopped spending so much time on her beloved Twitter account after her constant twittering on her Blackberry drove him 'insane'.

Her close friend Jamie Winstone, 24, who is dating Lily's younger brother Alfie, was also at the party. She wore her peroxide blonde hair in a high-top ponytail, large earrings and a striped T-shirt dress.

Amber Le Bon, the model daughter of Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon and wife Yasmine, was also at the event.

Lily is releasing a climate change campaign track with the 80s group, a re-recording of Midnight Oil's Beds are Burning, along with other artists such as Bob Geldof, Mark Ronson and Fergie.

Lily Allen joins best friend Kate Moss to soak up the sun in St Tropez

Never one to want to miss a party, Lily Allen has joined her friend Kate Moss on her sunshine holiday in France.

The singer, wearing sunglasses, a blue strapless bikini top and white shorts, looked as trim as supermodel Kate, 35, as they strolled along the beach.

Her new physique could be down to taking her friend's advice on dieting.

According to Closer magazine, Lily recently turned to Kate for help on keeping the weight off.

'Kate's been telling her to try the "rock chick" diet - coffee, cigarettes, vodka and champagne, which are relatively low in calories,' a friend of the star revealed.

The friends looked relaxed and happy as they headed towards a luxury yacht with Kate's daughter, Lila Grace, aged six, at times walking between them holding each of their hands.

The model hasn't been shy about stripping off to sunbathe topless and didn't wear a bikini top or bra under a shirt with denim shorts she wore during her day with Lily, 24, causing her to flash frequently.

Later, they were seen heading to nightspot Club 55.

The break has come during Lily's European tour that will see her perform in Hungary, Norway and Finland next week before returning to the UK for the V Festival.

Lily Allen shows no Fear as she goes sledging in the snow

With her single at No.1 and snow deluging London, Lily Allen was feeling particularly playful this morning.

The singer, who hit the top of the charts with The Fear last night, joined the many thousands making the most of the weather.

Unlike many of those enjoying a day off school and work, however, she had already put in a shift, appearing on GMTV and This Morning.

This is snow fun: Lily Allen sits on a friend's lap as they slide down a hill in a north London park

But then the 22-year-old was off to a park near her north London home, where she enjoyed sliding down the hill on a makeshift sledge.

After finding a temporary roadsign near some roadworks, Lily turned the sign into a sledge and screamed in delight as she whizzed along the snow with a male friend.

She was joined by hundreds of locals, mostly families, who had also come armed with tea trays and plastic bags to try their hand at sledging.

Wearing her controversial Prada Finnish fox fur hat, Lily was wrapped up warm in a chunky black coat, denim hotpants, black tights and Ugg boots.

As well as sledging and indulging in snowball fights, the Smile singer also built a snowman.

Earlier today, Lily kickstarted her snowy fun by throwing snowballs at photographers outside the ITV Studios on London's South Bank.

After previously claiming she was more mature than her friends the same age, the 22-year-old singer reverted to her youth as she enjoyed snow games.

She said recently: 'My mates are in a totally different place. I’ve grown up so much and they are still all into going out and dancing and taking drugs. I hang out with much older people.

'I’m meeting more interesting people who tax my brain.'
Lily Allen
Crash and burn: Lily's makeshift sledge soon gives way and the singer crashed onto the snow

But clearly today Lily was more interested in some good old-fashioned fun rather than having her brain 'taxed'.

Appearing on GMTV this morning, Lily complained she had to go on TV without her hair being styled after the programme's hairdresser couldn't get to the studios because of the adverse weather conditions.

Along with the rest of the GMTV presenters, Lily had to do her own hair and make-up before going on air.

She told host Ben Shepherd: 'No one turned up because of the snow so I've had to do it myself and I've got this greasy fringe - it's disgusting.'

Lily was clearly in good spirits after her song The Fear hit number one and her second album It's Not You, It's Me was received well by critics.

She enthused: 'It feels brilliant, I'm very happy - I'm just over the moon.

'I didn't really know whether I was capable of doing it all over again. It's a good bit of affirmation for me.'

Lily Allen shows her cheeky side in a revealing blue outfit

Lily Allen clearly wasn't going for the shy and retiring look when she chose her latest stage outfit.

The Smile singer bared her bottom in an electric blue Little Bo Peep costume and stockings on the night it was revealed she had topped the charts with her new single The Fear.

Lily wore the £395 Agent Provocateur Marine Sailor body with their Europa Blue hold-up stockings, £18, and lacy Cara briefs £60.

She teamed the outfit with a pair of towering beige platform heels and was presented with a cake at the event to celebrate her comeback single The Fear hitting the number one spot.

The cheeky number was in aid of her performance at G-A-Y but it didn't stop the 23-year-old wearing it out for a night of celebrating at nightspot Bungalow 8.

Lily, who has played at G-A-Y once before, performed classics from Alright, Still as well as tracks from her new album, It's Not Me, It's You.

And she lived up to her feisty reputation by returning to the stage for an encore dressed as Britney Spears to perform a cover of Womanizer.

Her performance at G-A-Y comes in the wake of an interview with the Gay Times in which she said she once kissed identical lesbian twins.

The star denies she is gay but went into detail about the experience during the interview.

She told the magazine: 'That's the only time, but I have lesbian dreams a lot.'

This week Lily admitted she has turned to a therapist to get her through a crisis of confidence.

The singer says her moods are up and down and that she has arranged a session with a motivational expert to help her achieve a 'positive mental attitude'.

She has had her fair share of bad luck in the past, from her self-confessed troubled childhood to her tragic miscarriage last year.

Ms Allen cuddles up to a greying mystery man in the Caribbean

Lily Allen's new year resolution must have been to find a new boyfriend, given these pictures of the star in the Caribbean.

The Smile singer, 23, was spotted kissing and cuddling up to a grey-haired older gentleman on a yacht off the coast of St Barts.

After spending some quality family time with her mother in nearby Jamaica last week, Lily made time for romance as she enjoyed an idyllic day at sea with her new man.

The new couple appeared inseparable as they waited on the beach with their arms wrapped around each other and they waited to board the beach.

Obviously in the first throws of romance, they couldn't keep their hands off each and were frequently spotted kissing onboard the yacht.

After climbing onboard in a yellow sundress over her bikini, tanned Lily enjoys a dip in the ocean before changing into a black playsuit and bright neon bra.

Lily's choice of older man is no surprise - she's frequently dated men older than her.

She split from Chemical Brothers DJ Ed Simons, 38, in January 2008 after a five month relationship.

The end of their relationship came soon after Lily suffered a heart-breaking miscarriage.

Just weeks before meeting Ed, Lily split from record label executive Seb Chew - who was in his mid-Thirties - after a two and a half year relationship.

Lily complained last month how difficult it was to find a boyfriend because of her fame.

She said: 'If I meet someone who is not part of the showbiz industry, I think, "Should I sleep with this person? Are they going to be straight on the phone (to the press)?"

'I guess that's why famous people go out with famous people, but there aren't really any that I fancy.

'I think I like much older men.'

Despite her young age of 23, Lily insists she has grown up a lot over the past two years since becoming famous.

Whether Lily's new man taxes her brain as well as attracts her physically, we'll have to wait and see.
